• LCAR Bursary Gala
  Please join us for an afternoon event to raise money for the newly established LCAR Bursary Fund on Tuesday October 1 from 3:00 until 5:00 in the Gallery of the T-building. Doors will open at 2:45. This “Mini-Gala” will be held in a cabaret setting (i.e. tables and snacks) featuring Langara Retirees with musical acts by Roger Holdstock, Andrea Smith and Kevin Craib, and a reading by Paul Headrick. All that talent will be ceremoniously mastered by gala favourite Robert Leaf. In addition, we will have a silent auction of some art pieces and likely some books and CDs available for purchase with revenues being directed to the newly established fund. Admission will be by donation to the fund with all donations matched by the Langara Foundation. Please register at https://lcar.ca/events/lcar-bursary-gala-2024/.   Langara College Association of Retirees (LCAR) has established a bursary dedicated to supporting students in financial need. This initiative reflects the enduring commitment of our retired faculty, staff, and administrators to the success and well-being of our students. The Fund will provide critical financial assistance to those facing economic challenges, helping them to continue their studies and achieve their academic goals. This contribution is a testament to the lasting impact of the Langara College community and its dedication to empowering the next generation.
